Peptide House runs without reader accounts, adverts, analytics or tracking pixels. Below is the full list of what the site keeps and who else is involved when a page loads.
What the site keeps
- Digest waitlist: your email address, the sign-up date and a random unsubscribe token, until you unsubscribe or ask for removal.
- Contact messages: email, optional name, message and date, deleted after twelve months at the latest.
- Read counts: one number per note that goes up when the note is opened. Nothing about you is stored with it.
- Abuse limits: sign-up and contact attempts are counted per IP address in memory for an hour, then forgotten.
Stored in your browser
Local storage holds peptidehouse_theme (light or dark). Signing in to the admin area adds peptidehouse_token for staff. Readers get no cookies.
Services that see requests
- Cloudflare proxies the site for delivery and security and therefore handles every request, including your IP address.
- Google Fonts delivers the typefaces, so Google receives your IP address when the fonts load.
- Journal, registry and regulator links lead to sites with their own policies.
Removing your data
Use the unsubscribe link you received at sign-up, or ask through the contact page for anything tied to your address to be erased. Nothing is sold or shared.
